Hi,

This error generally comes whenever a product (rate category) is offered to a customer where the device(rate type at the register level) is not compatible with the given product.

Therefore either you have to set up the correct device and then offer the product or choose a similar product which is compatible with existing device setting.

If you thing that both of the above statement does not refer to your situation then you have to maintain the rate for the rate category and rate type.
