Degree audit for modules from multiple module groups

Hi, i have a situation here. Client need to run degree audit based upon modules from multiple module groups. For example: The degree audit is run after student graduated at expert level. The audit shall also consider the results of intermediate level as well. He should have cleared intermediate and expert level with 65% marks. We allow admissions at expert level irrespective of checking intermediate result. As suggested in audit handbook...its an AND logic and need development. IS there an alternate way or method out to use rather than going for development. I think we can copy filter SAP5 (Modules from module group) and create our own logic to consider modules from multiple module groups.
