Defect Recording and Notification Relationship

Hi All,

I have a query regarding the process of Defect recording and Notification relationship.

What I understand is that once I save the defect recording activity , Automatically the the notification gets created. Now what happens if I do one more defect recording.Does the system creates one more notification or the previously created notification gets updated.

Hi vivek,

By default when a defect is raised, a notification will be generated.

Now if more that one defect is raised, same is added in the line items of the same notification.

I.e only 1 notification is raised.

now if u close the notification & if you create one more defect, then the status of Notification will be changed to in process from completed.

So there will be only 1 notification for 1 inspection lot. Let there be n number of defects..

Actually you can control in config if you get one notification per inspection lot or one notification per defect.

Notifications are only created automatically if you have completed the necessary configuration.
