If you are using 7.1 and above version you can accomplish this by using a Formula Expression in the X Value. Use a Filter or predefined action "assigned" by connecting it to Service Component and the Output of the Service Component should be used in the "X Value" of the chart. When you choose a diiferent value in the Filter the Data gets passed into the Service Component to which you connect a "Data Store". The "Data Store" should be used in the Formula of X or Y value of your chart component.

Pooja-

We are using VC 7.0 as well currently. Why don't you use query views instead in your VC model, which are customized views per requirement, so you don't have to use filters? Just a thought...

Pooja-

The query views are very easy to use in VC design- you can create a query view from your BW report- filter on the particular chracteristic to get the exact values required for display in the chart in that BW query view. Onec the view is available the chart axis can be configured to display values.

Further you can use several query views in a single VC iview, and from Layout tab, adjust the default view of layout.

We have our BW Web reports and we create query views off of that to embed in VC application through BW connector.

Hope this helps.
