Master Data on Lot Size Tab

Hello Guru,

I need your help with regards to the master data set-up we have in APO. In tab Lot Size, the Procedure of our products is BY PERIOD, period type is W (weekly).

We are now having issues in the quantity recomended to received, as you can see we have 23 days as safety time, but the system is calculating to have around 100 days of coverage (days of supply)

if we compare inventory target in items on a weekly view, we should have around 150m items, and the system is calculating to have around 500m items

Does this set-up in master data is a factor? hope for your help.

FYI.

We check other code in the location that is ok, we see that in its master data Procedure = Lot by lot. And the other ok one is its Procedure = BY PERIOD, Period Type = D (daily)

It would be helpful if you explained which engine/heuristic you are using.

If you use lot for lot is the quantities exactly matching the demand?
