allocation of material

Hi!

I created one sales order with XYZ item and allocated successfully but while doing post goods issue it is showing error stock is not available. When i checked in MMBE the stock is not there for that perticular item in respective plant. my question is if stock is not there then how it is getting allocated against that order.

please suggest

At the time of creating sale order for that material, stock should have been made available and hence, it is confirmed. But subsequently delivery would have been generated for a different order for the same material in which case, this is quite possible.

Check this material in tcode MD04. Perhaps you have in the future production orders, purchase order, purchase requisitions, and so on and the date in your schedule. Check your ATP customizing. See SAP Note 321803 - Explanatory notes on the ATP Customizing
