Validation problem for Network Header

Former Member

Hi Colleagues,

I try to use the following validation in Network Header at the prerequisite section:

CAUFVD-PROFID = 'YP00020' AND CAUFVD-PRONR :1-3: = 'WBC'

However, I get a system error message as followed:

Formula cannot be saved because it is incomplete

I will be glad for any idea how to solve this issue.

Thanks in advance and Best Regards

Nir

Hi,

I think the colons ( are not needed.

Also I assume it should end with a full stop.

Hi SNavaneetha,

Thanks for your reply,

I use the colons( any time I need to cut a string. this syntax suppose to cut the first 3 characters of the mask project (although this field is NUM but with num value the same message appears).

I didn't understand from your reply the meaning of "full stop".

Thanks again,

Nir

full stop = . you need a period at the end.

Hi,

I tried the following in my system and it did gave me the green light.

CAUFVD-PROFID = '0000002' AND CAUFVD-PRONR ":1-3:" = '12.00002'

Maybe this will help you.

Hi,

I tried it but got a message while trying to save saying that: " The formula was composed up to the first syntax error"

Thanks for your effort.
