BR0049W Last BRBACKUP run was probably killed

Hi,

Usually BRTOOLS will create 2 backup folders to store 2 sets of good full db backup files. Last weekend, the backup failed with RC=9999 and the folder was created with the db files. I re-scheduled the backup and it ran successfully with the above warning (subject) in the backup log, RC=1. Now there are 3 directories.

Should I delete the failed directory or leave it as it is for the next scheduled backup to handle the housekeeping ?

Please advise.

TIA !

yes, your next scheduled backup should delete the backup directory as per your init<SID>.sap file settings.

>>cleanup_disk_archive = 8

is for archive logs.

See below parameter for the backup.

  1. retention period in days for database files backed up on disk

  2. default: 30

  3. cleanup_disk_backup = 30

Change the parameter whcih suit to you and make sure you remove the #
