SAP 4.0 new feature :-

names have been changed first:

Sap web intelligence is same as Web intelligence previously changed as Interactive Analysis..

SAP voyager as Advance Analysis Web addition

SAP Xcelsius as Dashboard Design

SAP Dashboard Builder As BI Workspace

SAP Infoview As Launch Pad

Three New Products:-

Information Design Tool :- As of my thinking it is a combination of Universe Designer and Business View Manager .

and extension has been changed from .UNV to .UNX.

Upgrade Management Tool :- for up-gradation of 3.1 data into 4.0

Monitoring:-To monitor all server performance and KPI based view.

Changes:

Launch Pad :- We can open two reports at the same time like tabs and facet searching.

Dashboard design is included in package.

Crystal Reports is included in package and Gui has been changed .

In Workspace Content Linking function has been change . Its Gui is more graphical.

In information Design tool we can have multiple database on one connection.

BO 4.0 must have 64 bit platform and hardware.

BO 4.0 using BICS connectivity which connects to SAP other products Like BW 4 times faster than any other BI tool.

Hi,

All mentioned features which are not available in the BO 3.1 is one difference.

in bo xi 3.1 you can create one connection at a time in the universe.In BI 4.0 can create multi source universe with new extn .UNX.

in bo 3.1 migration can be done by Import Wizard or LCM.in BI 4.0 no import wizard.

no desktop intelligence in the BI 4.0 but in the BO 3.1

More graphs options in the BI 4.0 which are not available in the BO 3.1.

Direct connection between SAP BW BEx query to webi by BICS connection.not in the 3.1.

Data Federator is replaced by Multi source universe in the Bi 4.0.

Show Hide column direct option in the webi which is not available in the 3.1
