Same Batch is allocated for mutiple outbound deliveries

Hi All,

We have a Batch with quantity as 1, but system assigns this batch for more than one outbound delivery while picking. User has to manually remove this batch and select a different batch.

For example, Batch # XYZ was first picked up for delivery for delivery order # 1234 on 26 May. PGI was subsequently done on 30 May. However, now we have 3 different delivery orders (originating from 3 different order numbers) with the same batch numbers of # XYZ. These 3 delivery orders were created on 30 May 2011.

Can anybody help to solve this issue ?

Thanks & Regards,

Vikas

Hi,

It seems that for your material same batch is exist even though stock is not available in that batch

Do delete batch when it is consumed then you have to set deletion indicator either in BATCH SEARCH RECORD

Go to VCH1

enter necessary data and click on DETAIL(f2) then TICK MARK to deletion indicator

Now suppose you have batch XYZ and qty 1

now you done delivery for 1 qty and batch xyz (consumed)

Next time this batch will not available but if this batch still have qty then only available

Hi Kapil,

Thanks for the reply.

The issue is that, same batch is picked for more than one delivery inspite of quantity as 1, and moreover this is happening for some of the cases.

Any clue on this ?

Hi Vikas,

Few check point that you can consider for arrival on conclusion are as

Please check the availability check configuration in ovz9 for both the scenario where it is behaving correctly and where it is not.

Also check the stock situation in given plant (storage location wise for that particular batch)

Availability check configuration at delivery item category(if both are different)

In VCH1 whether the check box of overdelivery is checked or not.

Hope this will help you.

Please revert to the forum in case of further question on this.
