Custom Application in Solman

Hi All,

I have requirement to build a standalone utility in solman for assigning next numbers to the different document RICEF objects (IXXXX, EXXXX, RXXXX, CXXXX) and documents (TS,FS, Any other)

As Solman is going to be the central repository standalone utility there to do the following

- Register a new RICEF or document Type with prefix

- Maintain the number range for each RICEF type or document type

- For a particular input document type get the next number

- The user then can enter some description against the next number to reserve it

- Simple browser report to see list based on search criteria Document type and object id

Is that possible to build the above scenario or any Standard is already available...??

Please help me on ths.

Hello Arun

It is not recommended to build custom applications in a Solution Manager system.

Please check whether your requirement can be fulfilled by the existing functionality and if not then use a WAS system to develop such a functionality.

Any upgrade to the existing Solution Manager system might impair the custom built functions and hence we never recommend building such applications.
