Currency change before PO is ordered/created.

Hi all,

SRM 5.0 ECS,SP12

issue :

Shopping cart is created in MXN curency.Correspondng PO needs to be created in USD as the vendor doesnt aceept Po's created in MXN.When creating a PO,if the currency is changed from MXN t USD,the item price is not changed on change of currency i.e.

SRM PO >100 MXN>currency chnaged to USD-->price still remains 100

ECC PO-->price replicated as 100 USD.

When changing the currency in the PO before ordering it,we get a warning message stating that the vendor currency is different from the PO currency.

Is the above behaviour std???

Thanks.

The conversion from MXN to USD is already maintained in SPRO but we still get the error. Also Another observation is when currency is changed after the PO is ordered, the changes happen but not when the currency is changed when the PO is created .

Hi,

The behaviour is as per standard. What you need to do is change the vendor currency in transaction BBPMAININT. Supplier tab.

Once you change the vendor currency the warning would disappear also you need to maintain the currency conversion as mentioned by Thiago in the above reply.

Dear friend,

You have to verify the conversion rates from MXN to USD in the following customizing path

Transaction SPRO

> SAP Implementation Guide

> SAP Web Application Server

> Currencies

> Check Exchange Rate Types

> Enter Exchange Rates

If the value is not converted, it is quite possible that you have a rate 1 x 1 between MXN and USD.

This warning message is standard, but as it is a warning it will not keep PO to be ordered.
