Hello Folks,

I had to change the SMD_RFC user password and I am not able to call the transaction solman-workcenter.

Do you know if I have to change the password in any place? I just changed the password in SU01.

Tks a lot

Hi,

You should also change the password in the Advanced Setup at the diagnostics configuration and in the Visual Admin.

Refer to the ["User Admin Guide"|https://websmp209.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700000178012009E/RCA_User_Adminguide_SP18.pdf] in the section 2.3.3 [SOLMAN.ABAP.RFCCOM]: Internal RFC System User. This guide shows exactly where to update it.

Hi,

It is "SP18 - Root Cause Analysis - User Administration Guide"

You can find it at:

I thought that the error below was related to SMD_RFC password, but not:

message.rfc_exe_error

message.guid_text.

any clue, guys?

Hi,

For this issue you should check the following:

1) Check if the RFCs destination (TCP/IP) WEBADMIN and SOLMANDIAG are

working. These RFC connections are needed for SMD.

2) Check if the user that was defined for the WEBADMIN JCO on the Java

side is in validity-date in SU01.

3) Check if the user SOLMAN_ADMIN has all the required roles as

described in the User Admin Guide. The document can be found at:

- Media Library
