Single Order but Multiple Production Orders

Hello Gurus,

I am facing strange situation.

I have created Sales order with material quantity 1.From sales order number i am able to make Production order (CO01) i am able to create another and another production order without any error . I don't want this scenario. I want single production order from single sales order.

1 sales order to multiple production orders i do not need this scenario....

Please Suggest

Hi,

If you work with MAKE TO ORDER then it can be possible,because what ever be the quantity for that planed production order is created after MRP run and same can be converted in production order and there may be setting in PP to consider exact quantity for production as equal to planned order, check with PP consultant.

If you work the standard MTO or ATO scenarios it should not happen.

MTO:

Planning startegy 20, run MRP after SO, convert Planned order to production order in SO segment.

ATO:

Planning strategy 82, production order is automatically created when you create SO.
