Hi All,
I have installed ECC 6 on MSCS.After installation Oracle group Fail over is not happening from DB node to CI node.
While moving error is recorded in event log on CI node
The description for Event ID 1 from source OracleMSCSServices cannot be
found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on
your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install
or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information
had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
Error reading registry key OracleFsWorker.OracleFsWorker.1\CLSID; error
The system cannot find the file specified.
I can see the registry entry "OracleFsWorker.OracleFsWorker.1\CLSID" on
DB node but not on CI node.
And also I realised that OracleMSCSServices was not installed during OFS installation on CI node.
I had to manually install it as windows service.
Few registry entries for OFS are missing on CI node.
So I guess OFS should be re-installed on CI node.So please let me know the pre-steps and post-steps for this.
I have already checked the link http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/B12072_01/deinstall.htm but still it is not clear for me as I am new to OFS concepts.
Oracle group is created and added OFS on DB node.
So if need to re-install OFS on CI node, can I directly uninstall and re-install or tell me the specifec steps that have to be carried out for this activity.
Regards,
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.Yes,the service is running on both nodes.I have raised the message with SAP after tried everything myself.I tried 390486 note also.I have not got any helpful reply from SAP.So then thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling of OFS on CI node.So that's why I want to know the pre and post steps for this.

Hello,
Best to try to fix issue rather than re-installing.
Please check
Windows service "Remote Registry" is up and running on both nodes and
has the automatic startup selected.

John Feely
