Operation Confirmation from IW42 in 2 steps

Hi experts.,

We have a scenario where the Operation needs to be confirmed in 2 stpes as given below.

1. When the Technician starts the job, the 'Work Start Date & Time' should be recorded & saved.

2. When he completes the job, he'll come to enter the 'Work Finish Date & Time' (change the same Confirmation). System time at that moment can be populated there.

3. Based on the above, the 'Actual Hours' should be calculated.

Have any one come across this scenario? If you have, please guide me.

Regards,

Ajai

hi

the work start and end date can be specified while doing the confirmation itself why you want it to make to 2 steps

Hi.,

The reason I under stand is that it is required to know at any given point in time who is working on what & also to have a vigil on the hours being booked.

Looking forward for a solution/suggestion

WE have a similar customized solution in place, we have a custom transaction where user will select a operation and press a button 'Labor on', and then once he has completed his work , he has to press labor off. The time difference is calcuated and a background job does confirmation for this value to that operation. You can come out with similar solution like this.
