Dear Experts, We are having a requirement where in we would like to terminate the long running broadcasting reports automatically
after certain amount of time say 2000 seconds. Is there any option or paramter which can be maintained to set the threshold of broadcasting batch processes ?
Currently we are having a scenario where in some long running broadcasting reports stalls the complete precalculation.
we want to terminate those stalled reports automatically.
Any inputs would be helpful.

Thanks for the inputs.

You might try using OSS Note 1371345, which should put a limit on workbooks. However, you should also check to see if the workbook has an error by running the precalc service in console mode. In the past upgrading the patch level of the precalc service and the SAP GUI helped. Recently we are getting hanging excels more and we suspect we are using a VMware server with too many images on it so that things are hanging. There is a good overview on various aspects in the SDN:
