Hi:
Once I created a key figure and it is already in the system, I want to make sure that it is created as an APO key figure. How to do this?
Thanks in advance.

Table RSDIOBJ, Field BWAPPL should have a value of 'APO'.

Hi Satish
I think when you create new KF, I think it will ask you to select the option between APO or BW.
You can select the option to decide it. You can only distinguish them at the time of creation. The other way of identifying is that if there is a fixing key figure defined for that key figure. But for characteristics, there is no way, at least I couldn't find any way of distinguishing.
APO keyfigures can be used for fixing and changes made to these can be saved. where as the BW keyfigures are strictly for display purpose. APO is not used for reporting as it is basically a planning systema nd cannot take that reporting load. so you extract data to an independent BW system or a third party system and then report. You can always run BEx on a BW keyfigure.
Unfortunate, but you cannot distinguish between a BW and APO keyfigure once they are created.
I hope this help you to answer your question.
Thanks & Regards
