Patch Upgrade before Go-Live and after realization phase in a SAP Implement

Dear Experts,

One of my clinet is requesting for Patch Upgrade before Go-Live and we have complted realization phase.

Scope is ECC 6.0, SRM 7.0, EP, BI, PI, MDM.....

Is it recommended to do the patch upgrade before Go-Live or do we need to do it after Go-live.

If we do patch upgrade now (after realization phase and before Go-Live), what are the implications of such a patch upgrade.

Pl help with answer.

Well it makes no sense to Go-Live just to run patches in a month. You should take advantage that you have a team in place and import the patches now.

As mentioned before testing is the key...

If you are planning for patch upgrade then make sure that you should have enough testing time to test all the scenarios to avoid last time surprises.

Testing is the main point here so that you can avoid any issue before going-live.

What is the source and target release of your upgrade ?
