Homepage Framework Customization

Hello,

Is it possible to customize the Homepage Framework of the MSS business package, so that the area groups are linked to TLN roles?

To elaborate - we need the homepage to have area groups corresponding to the different roles on the portal TLN. The area groups contain a brief summary of what each role contains. Following the summary is a button / link which, when clicked takes the user to the TLN role that is the one described in that particular area group?

Hi Reena,

The homepage framework can be customised by building your own custom roles/worksets/pages/iviews rather than using the SAP standard roles/worksets that come along with the Business package. let us know if you require any information.

I managed to get some SAP documents and am slightly more familiar with the options available for customizing the homepage framework now. Yet, one thing was not clear - Dynamic display of areas.

In specific, is it posible to hide / show areas dynamically, based on the roles assigned to the user?

Eg: If Role A is assigned to the user -> Area group must display only one Area A

If Role A and B are assigned to the user -> Area group must display two areas A and B

Basically - we need just one homepage independent of the roles, but the areas displayed on the area group of the homepage should correspond exactly to the roles assigned to the user. Is this achievable via the framework?

Hello Reena,

I have the exact same requirement. Displaying servifes by country is not enough. Ideally we would have ESS Homepage Framewor further display by role. Ex. a Service appropriate for US users would only display for US users in Role1.

Were you able to accomplish this?
