VOV6 setting

Dear all,

I performed a VOV6 setting testing, and can you please varify my below statements? Thanks.

1) VOV6 - "Availability" checkbox flagged only;-

No demand line appear in MD04

- MRP does NOT generate PR during MRP run in MD02

- ATP is included (how to test this?)

>> Quotation is excluded from MRP, but there is ATP check? how do I know if ATP check takes place in the system to test this?

2 ) VOV6 - "Availability" checkbox flagged and "Req/Assembly" checkbox flagged;

- a demand line appear in MD04

- MRP generate PR during MRP run

- ATP is included.

>> Quotation is include in MRP, and there is ATP check, correct?

3) VOV6 - All boxes are empty and unflagged.

- a demand line does not appear in MD04

- MRP does not generate PR during MRP run

- ATP is not included.

>> Quotation is excluded from MRP, but there is no ATP check, correct?

Hi Tuffy,

SAP standard does not do an availability check on the quotation, as it is not a definite order, usually just a pricing quote.

Thanks for your feedback.

It is true that standard SAP does not have perform ATP on quotation.

However, ...

1) is there anyway in the system to make the availiablity check perform on Quotation?

2) how do I know if an ATP check take place in quotation?

Hi,

As I told you in previous post availability check is based on schedule line and or Requirement class

If flag availability and Transfer of requirement in schedule line and or requirement class then system will check availability

so check which schedule line and requirement type you are determining in quotation and activate availability and TOR then it will work in quotation.

Dear Kapil,

We are on 4.7 and did have the need for ATP on a QT. We have configure our schedule line to have ATP flagged but does not impact MRP (i.e. not flag the Requirement/Assembly checkbox). So it does provide ATP when creating a quotation but does not confirm inventory.

but somehow it doesn't work for inquiry...

Is there a way to activated it with customization or user exit or other way.

All important setting of availability and requirement is in VOV6, OVZG, OVZ9
