Error while unarchiving

Hi,

I am trying to unarchive repository in MDM but its giving me error "Invalid external data".I tried verify repair option and then archived the repository but still its giving the same error.

Help is reuired to solve the problem.

Hi Neethu,

Unfortunately details provided by you are not sufficient enough to conclude anything. Please can you check server/repository logs to see if there is any more information on this archiving error. I feel very positive that there will be some thing is the logs. Please can you check.

Hello Neethu Joy

It may be when:

1) DBMS severs in your environment are different(for example: oracle on your production server and ms sql on your development)

2) You don't have enought free space on your DBMS hard drive.

As Shiv recommend: more detail info you can get from your logs

Hi Nithu,

This to me looks like a database connectivity error.

A restart of MDM server can help,kindly get in touch with basis consultant/system admin for this.
