User security policy

Hello experts,

We have NW Portal 7.00 and we use abap system as a UME.I mean all users stored in abap db.I want to use security policy for users.I set validity of the password 30 days to expire but it does not work.I also checked Allow Users to Change Their Own Passwords,Enforce Password Security Policy at Logon and restart server.I know it works if I use java as a UME. Do you have any suggestion?

Hi,

The scenario as you describe is exactly how it works (by design)...

As soon as you configure your UME to use a ABAP system as userstore then these settings must be made in the ABAP system. The configurations you mention then only apply for the native users in the UME like Administrator for example.

Please get in contact with your Backend User/Authorisation consultant to set these parameters in the backend.
