VMware setup

Hi,

We have recently set up a landscape and it is having the SAP SRM7.0, MDM 7.1 and EP 7.0 and ECC 6.0 servers, now we want to move whole set up on to the VMware. How can we do that, can any one please share some documents (or) if somebody already did this( can u plz share the sceen shots).

You can also use the P2V converter of VMware:

http://www.vmware.com/products/converter/

You have to consider that this will be an exact copy of your system, so no hostname change or similar.

If you use P2V conversion of VMware, be aware of proprietary software like HP Network Management tools etc...

The could cause problems.

First of all I would not do a system move using screenshots. You need to know what you're doing.

The safest way would be to do a homogeneous system copy for each system. The guide to do that can be downloaded at http://service.sap.com/instguides.
