Invalid profile parameter dbms/type but DBMS_TYPE had set to ora

HI all.I occur the error after update my kernel from 144 to 246,the error is "Invalid profile parameter dbms/type",but I had set the dbms_tpye to ora in users envirionment variables(<sid>adm),but the error does not change.

Have you check your DEFAULT profile for dbms/type parameter value?...

If you only updated the kernel I don't think this is the problem... can you start the system with the old kernel?.

I think you might have downloaded the wrong db dependent part of the kernel perhaps

Hi,thanks for you reply,I set the dbms_tpye is os level,and the DEFAULT profile did not set this parameter.

And I check the kernel files that is ok.The file is SAPEXEDB_246-10004239.SAR SAPEXE_246-10004236.SAR.

Did you tried to start your DB with the old kernel?... you can add the parameter to your DEFAULT profile it would not do any harm

I had tried to start with old kernel,and mistakes is the same.And I set the parameter in DEFAULT before startup,but the mistakes is the same again.

What is the return code of R3trans -dx?

If it is not equal to 0000, then paste only the ERROR lines from your trans.log and dev_w0 log file.
