Experts,
We like to implement COPA in our company code and our company is assigned to a controlling area which has more than
5 company codes with different business and but we like to use COPA for a single company code and most important
we use Cost element only for expenses gl and not created revenue cost element in any of the company code, My understand
would be Operating Concern will be assinged to controlling area is it possible activate COPA without having revenue cost
element please suggest.
Best Regards
BK
Dear Bharath
The essence of COPA is Revenue - Expense = Profit.
Hence not having Revenue Cost Elements is not an option. Controlling area is assigned to operating concern and not company code. This means that COPA will be active for all the company codes, which are assigned to the controilling area. You can always filter the data from COPA based on characteristic "Company Code"

HI,
no its not possible without having revenue acounts as cost elements (cost element type 11 / 12). Check help.sap.com for infos and read SAPNET note 69384 which expains the difference of costing-based and account-based CO-PA.
