ECM - Class Type 025

Hai Techies,

Right now i m working on engineering change management for my client. I found that we can create a class type 025 which is for ECM. But in case if we create a class by class type 025 how can we use it? What kind of scenarios does it require to create a ECM Class

Hi,

Class Type 025 is used in ECM.

If you go to Extras-> Classification, you can assign the class to CM / ECR.

Thanks for your reply. Does the classification is used only for the purpose of reporting or classifying the Engineering Change Management or we can also create the Workflow based on these classifications?

Hi,

Classification characteristics can also be leveraged and can be used effectively for workflow and routings as well. You will need custom enhancements for this.

Yes, classification fields can be used as reference for workflows which would trigger the notifications by event definitions. (Eg: For approve / Close / Release / Etc). These can be used for the header as well for objects.
