Bom item quantity divides in cs03 but not in cs11

Hi all,

I created Bom in cs01. Fniished item A , base qty 4 EA. Bom items B 1kg, Bom item C 2 kg, Bom item D 2 EA.In Cs03 initial screen when I enter material code A, plant as 1000 and usage as 1 and at bottom in Quantity as 1, then I can see Bom item gets divided by 4( because base qty is 4 for finished item) i.e B .25kg, C .50 Kg and D .50 EA.

But in CS11 when I enter material code as A, plant as 1000, Bom applicaton as PP01, quantity as 1 , then Bom item D does not get divided by 4. It still shows as 2 EA( instead of .50 EA) . However, all other items gets divided by 4 !!

Can you all please tell me why this happens? This has been raised by client and I am really puzzled.

Hi,

I think u r D component is not under Component

i.e if A qty 1is under B and A has a bom with c qty 1and d qty1 then the quantity for c and d will be

shown 0.5 and 0.5 if base quantity is 2 but A will show as 1 only

Hi,

Parent material is A and it contains Bill of Material as B, C and D. It is single level BoM.

Please check:

1 What's base unit of your finish goods?

2 What's base unit of your material D, what's alternative unit of material D, what's conversion between base unit and alternative unit of material D?

Hi,

Base Unit of finished material A is EA. Alt unit is :

1 EA each <=> 1 EA each

2 KG kg <=> 1 EA each

1 BAG BAG <=> 4 EA each

Base Unit of D is EA. No additional unit of measure maintained for D.

Dear Sir,

While selectiong the BOM for selction the BOM for comparaison, are u selecting the same alternate BOM no.

Hi,

Recommendation for using that UOM which is the smallest one. As in your case for item A this is KG. You must create the BOM for A product in UOM KG.
