Crystal reports Crash in 8.81

Hi all,

I've setup SBO 8.81 PL5 and Crystal Reports for SBO (version 12.1.0.883).

When I try to open previous reports created in Crystal Reports, the Crystal Reports designer shows up the SBO login window but it always fails. Then when I close it, CR always crashes...

I suspect that I must upgrade the CR to a latter version (version 12.1.0.883 is SP1 I presume).

Does anybody knows how can I avoid this error?

Is there any place where I can download updates or service packs for CR?

Hi Manuel

We have been having a similar problem although our problems are more system crashes rather than login prompts.

Were these reports using the SAP B1 data source and running OK in an 8.8 installation?

If you copied the database to a different name or to a different server you may need to re-impoort the reports since the original server/database appears to be remembered in the report rather than being reset at runtime.

This seems to work with us but there is more testing to be done.

I assume that if this is the case, when we do the upgrade in place without changing the database name or server then it mighht work OK.

Solved the problem by uninstalling all the software (SBO & CR) and installing it again.
