BICS Error

Hi,

We are using BICS to connect to BW queries from Xcelsius. The dashboard is working fine in dev and Quality environment. BUt in Production its working some time and some time we are getting the error -

"Cannot access External data Error #2032. "

This error is not happening every time. BUt its happening sometimes. We need to know whether its related to any configuration issues in BW while using BICS.

Hi Sivakami,

Your Dashboard is working fine in both quality and dev, so it will not be Configuration Issues.

1. It may be a transport issue. Please open your dashboard from production and check whether all the SAP netweaver connection are pointing to your Production system.

2. Otherwise there may be some problem with Portal settings. You can ask your Portal administrator or BASIS to provide same settings like in quality system.

3. error 2032 is very general error, whenever any connection failing to establish it raises.

Hi Sriram,

Thanks for your reply.

The connections are pointing to Prod only when opened from Prod BW. And its working sometimes as i told earlier.

Can you elaborate which portal settings can lead to this error? Any load balancing problem in servers?

Since its happening sometimes and not always we are not able to figure out how to track it.

Hi Sivakami,

We are experencing the exact same error in our production system.

An Intermittent #2032 error ( dashboards are working fine in Dev and QA).

Have you perhaps managed to find a solution for this?
