Payroll and cost object

Hi Payroll experts,

can you pleae share some knowledge about this:

I need to build a report (BW) with payroll data (eg about the trip expenses) and the cost object for the expenses.

something like the general receiver we've in CATS (timesheet). Is there any link in payroll to the cost object?

Hi Michele Demurtas,

If I understand your requirement correctly, you want to know where a particular Payment made to an Employee is being charged to, on the FI side?

If this is true,

You can pretty much read C1/C0 table of for the EE from his Payroll Clusters.

You mentioned about CATS, i assume the Payments you are referring to are entered in CATS. All you need to do is check for the WT if there is a C1 split indicator, if yes then you can read C1 (Table) else read C0 Table.

Note : You can only get the structures like Cost Center, Fund, Functional Area, Business Area from these tables. If you want to know the GL a/c then you have to read different set of tables.

just I can't find the C0/C1 tables in PC_PAYRESULT, does it means we're not splitting the costs?

yes you are right, the payments are entered in CATS.
