Hi all

There is a problem with LOP .when an user select show overview button in the leave request.

From the table he had select LOP where for this LOP only the user is not able to see change and delete button on the screen .

But those buttons are visible for all the leave types for all the users

Only for this leave type and for particular user when he trying to change LOP

the buttons are not visible.

More over its giving an error :

YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO CHANGE THE ABSENCE.

CHANGE OR DELETE THE CORRESPONDING REQUEST .

Can any one help me to work out this.

Thanks in Advance

Deepika

Let me explain with an example

The behaviour observed by you is the expected behaviour.

That is when the employee has applied leave for 16.01.2007

and it is approved and posted.

Later he changes it to 21.04.2008 which is rejected by the

approver.

Now when he tries to change 21.01.2007 to some other date then he

gets the messages

  • You are not permitted to change the absence

  • Change or delete the corresponding request

This is the standard behaviour in accordance to the note 863486.

So here we should not try to change the absense (that is updated in

the database) i.e 21.04.2008 instead we should change the

corresponding leave request that is other that is found in the

leave overview.

Here you can go ahead and change this request to the date you like.

you should always

go and delete the rejected leave request not the initial absence that

was approved and posted.

This is the correct way.

Now when you need to delete you should select the rejected deletion

leave request but not the initial absence that was approved and

posted.

Hope this explains you.

Hi Siddharth

Ya we have applied this note already .

But the issue is resolved by deleting the lop which is already saved in the pa30.It is giving the error when we are trying to modify it.So we recreated it for the same date .

The buttons are visible on the portal screen.

Issue Resloved

Thanks & Regards

Goto table V_t554s_web...

there select the leave type for which you are facing the issue.

There will be 2 checkboxes :

Under system response :

No changes to leave permitted

No delete to leave permitted

Check if they are checked or not....if they are checked then uncheck them......

Hi

Under system response :

No changes to leave permitted

No delete to leave permitted

are unchecked as the employee is permitted to change.

Ad this problem i am facing for only one user.

Deepika

Can you check the authorization object assigned to this user....

Compare them with authorization objects/rights assigned to user for which it is working fine....

I think this issue is because of some missing authorization.....to this particular user.
