I have downloaded the ABAP Netweaver 7.0 version fo 32 bit, but unable to install so far. I am getting the following error

"An Error occurred while processing option SAP Netweaver 7.0 including enhancement package 2 -> SAP Application Server ABAP -> Max DB -> Central System > Central System

Last error reported by the step: Assertion failed : sDBVersion.readFromCD

Anyone experienced this issue ?

Hi:

From the error message it seems that there was some older installation of SAP DB/MaxDB software before, and it was

not removed correctly.

Please follow 599129 Using SDBUNINST to uninstall MaxDB/SAP DB software to uninstall the sapdb/maxdb software.

It seems that file is corrupted

Ok, I will try to unzip the file again, or may be download the original files again from SDN

Are you running this installation on 32 bit OS or 64 bit OS?

There might be some issue if you try to run AS 32bit on OS 64bit.

What Os it is ? Windows 7. I don't think you would be able to install on windows 7
