PO being updated from inbound delivery?

Hello Guru,

Is there any standard configuration in SAP for the following scenerio:

I believe this is a STO based scenerio for us, but could be applied standard.... For an inbound delivery (referencing a PO), if they pick a different material quanity then whats on the PO, can it trigger to update the correct quantity on the PO so it matches? IF it doesnt,, then what could be done to maintain? The issue is then we potential have open POs that never get closed... I understand we could maintain tolerance levels higher, but looking to see if there is any other standard configuration around this...

Thanks

there is no tolerance check for STOs.

Why dont you fight the error cause, instead of legalizing it?

why is a different quantity picked? CAn't you improve the picking process, or the order quantity?

just as Jurgen said, it related to business flow.

frankly speaking, though ABAP or config can make PO quantity update automatically, we should not do it.

because PO is considered as a contract.

system should not be allowed to change PO without any monitor or approval.

so all PO change should be controlled manually.

You are able to set delivery tolerances for STOs....

The picking process isnt the issue normally, but in case where it is wrong, it would be nice to have the PO reflect the picked quantity from the inbound delivery automatically...

I thought i heard it before it could be done through standard configuration....
