ABAP Web Dynpro - cannot run -- get HTTP Forbidden --SICF OK

Hi all

Cannot run Web Dynpro application on the latest (7.02 X-64 bit)) abap TRIAL / DEMO VERSION.

Transaction SICF shows all required services active.

Even trying to run standard Web dynpro application supplied with the system (WDT_ALV) it fails with FORBIDDEN.

I've even created a user on the Windows OS system (BCUSER) with admin privileges and total create etc access on all the disks.

ABAP etc runs fine but I can't get a web dynpro application to run via SE80.

(No probs with this stuff on earlier releases).

Hi Jimbo,

have you specified an FQDN and integrated it into your 'hosts' file? I have only setup 7.02 64 bit trial version once by now but I remeber that sapinst doesn't ask for the parameter in this version.

Does the error page give any furher hint?

Hi there

As in my other post I follwed the instructions in the pdf doc I referred to -- all works fine now. I think the HOSTS needs to be set to xxxxxx.com with your IP address and the sap default profile (RZ10) needs to have a parameter set. It's all in the document. A whole slew of services need to be statrted too with SICF.
