Hi all,

in the phase before downtime, "Isolate the central Instance " appears:

In the installation guide i see the following text:

"If the central instance and the database server are on the same host, you can lock the database against remote access. Contact the database administrator."

How can i lock the database agains remote access. Operative system is windows and database is Oracle 10G.

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

You simply lock all the users in the system except system administrator user and user like ddic, SAP* etc. If you have any dialog instance then stop all the dialog instance and then proceed with the upgrade.

Thanks

Hi,

Its for some other application using database remotely, which i think is not there in your case. Have your system database is connected to some other application remotely ?

Thanks
