Hello Experts,

Is it possible to change an Initiative Author? for some reason most of the initiatives on the system where created with the pipadmin user and now the end users want to see a different user.

Best Regards.

Eduardo,

The Author of an Initiative cannot be changed. When a user creates an initiative they automatically become the author and you cannot reassign or change the author. The author of the initiative assigns the owner, who is ultimately responsible for that initiative. Although you cannot change the Author you can change the Owner.

There are two ways to change the Owner

1) In the Administrator interface under Administration > Update User Responsibilities, select the Content and then both the user you are updating and who will get that responsibility. Select TYPE Initiatives, Click the Initiatives you wish to change Ownership and ADD. Then Save. This changing of User Responsibility can be done by any Administrator.

2) The Author of an Initiative can select the Initiative in the End User interface, then choose Edit. A popup will open with the information on the Initiative and the Author can change the Owner from the picklist and Save. That can also switch responsibility. Only the Author or Owner of an Initiative can Edit an Initiative, though you cannot change the Author.

The Owner of the Initiative will be the real driver, the one with responsibility for that project, so perhaps your other users should focus on ownership rather than the initial author.
