Support Package Stack Guide SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Support Package Stack 26

Hello All. We have an installation of solution manager 7.0 with EHP 1 and SP Stack 20. The most current stack is 26. I would like to go -ahead and patch the system but I can't find the Support Package Stack Guide.

Does anyone know where I can find this on the SAP Service Market Place?

Hello,

I think you might be thinking of a release guide.

Support Packages for the most part are a collection of Notes that correct known errors.

So while you can get a side effects report, you can also get an overview of the notes contained in the support package.

And for Solution Manager 7.0 the most current SP level is 27, and not 26.

You can get an overview of all the notes contained in a Support Package, say you want to know what is in support package 27, then you would navigate to Service Marketplace http://service.sap.com then go to Software Downloads >

Support Packages and Patches > SAP SOLUTION MANAGER > SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1 > Entry by Component"> Solution Manager ABAP Stack > ST 400 > Support Packages

Then you would left click on the "I" Icon to the left of the download link to the SP level you are interested.

SP 26 is SAPKITL436 and SP 27 is SAPKITL437.

That will take you to the Objects Info page, there click on the button display. Then clcik on the button Notes.

This is what that display looks like for SAPKITL437 (SP27)

Then you can exand.

The above steps will guide you there....this is how to do it by component. As I mentiond there is not a guide as such for SP levels. This usually occurs for Releases, but not Support Packages that I am aware.

Hi,

I am looking for the same as Marc, based on the fact we know there are Support Package Stack Guides for Netweaver releases. For example, see https://service.sap.com/maintenancenw70 and drill into the applicable maintenance section to find those guides. These include any prereqs and post processing steps for PI, BI, Portal, etc. What is lacking is the same detailed processing document for Solution Manager specifics. There is no "maintenance" section under the SAP Solution Manager section of Installation & Upgrade guides.

So Marc, not sure if you found your answer yet or if you are having to piece meal it like I will be doing using the Netweaver SPS Guide, combined with a review of the "Update Guide SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1" as well as chapter 5 from the "Inst. SAP Solution Manager 7.0 incl EHP1..." guide.
