Dummy_domain in drop down menu when adding users

Hi All,

We just finished installing BPC NW 7.5 SP07. All seems to be fine on server side and client side. However when we try to add a new user, we can only see "dummy_domain" in the drop down menu for domains. We have configured BPC to use an actual domain and all BPC users exist on the domain level.

Searching for SAP notes has not been very successful.

Any advise?

Hi,

If your server is in domain, then from server manager got to->define system user group. their you update your domain name, domain type(AD) etc. if your server is in workgroup, then choose LOCAL windows as your domain type.

It should work.

Thanks for your response.

The option for "define system user group" is disabled regardless of which user account is used to login to the server manager (bpc_sysadmin, bpc_admin or SIDADM).

Any advise?

HI,

if the option is disabled , that means your server manager installation is not proper.

please run diagnostic from server manager and produce the ouput. it will be easy to analyze.

Also check MDXPARSER RFC connection from SM59, if it works or not. let us know the status
