Webi Prompt in Xcelsius - not working

Hi Gurus,

I have created Xcelsius with webi report as live office. My webi report has 2 filters, customer, Type. Webi report is based on SAP BEX query universe. Customer as 10 char long but usually it has numeric value. Mostly 8-10 digit number. Type is a 2 char field and usually it has 2 char alpha values only. From xcelsius, i am selecting filter component and selecting customer and my data is refreshed but when i select customer type, it doesn't refresh the data. I tried all the possibilities and i have build many dashboard but every time the filter value is some numeric value so it is refreshing the dashboard. This is the 1st time i am passing char value as filer.

when i select type in xcel dashboard, it is inserting Type value in a cell (lets say B2). I also tried changing the formatting B2 cell to text still doesn't refresh the data. I am concatenating customer and type in a cell (lets say C1) which i am using as data refresh trigger cell.

Any suggestion how to fix this?

Hi,

When importing data in Xcelsius sheet through live office

Char are imorted as 'Company Code

Numerics are imported as 10728

as the char is preceded by ' symbol it is not refreshing the repot as there is no such value.

copy that value into another cell and take that cell as your reference.

Thanks for your reply. i rebuild the dashboard and I followed your same solution but converted the final cell as text which worked.
