Printing Report From Website

Former Member

I have an ASP.Net program I developed with Crystal Reports for . Net - Visual Studio 2008 The visitor to the website needs to be able to view and print. As of now the report shows up in the report view, but the icons for printing and exporting are just boxes. When I click them I get a 404 error stating resource is not found on server. What do I need to do?

Thanks

See [this|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/50aa68c0-82dd-2b10-42bf-e5502b45cd3a] article. From your description I think it will apply.

Thanks for the article and link.

My Web Host thinks a merge module has to be installed. But if that was the case I don't think I would even see the report - I can see it but it won't print.

Also, Goggle Chrome the formatting is all messed up. Why would that be.

Thanks

You are both correct. The CR runtime must be installed - either the MSM or the MSI must be used. However, since the report is showing up, there is CR runtime installed on that server already and it is pretty close to what you have on your dev computer. The issue you are seeing is, I believe, the one documented in the article. Particularly if the app is in a custom app pool. Which is most likely the case with a web host.
