change date format

Hi,

Can u tell me how to change the date format from DD/mm/yyyy to DD-MonthName-YYYY with the text in webui?

is there any config or should be change the component ?

In Personalize there are some formats but not this and any idea where we can add more such fields?

HI,

U just identify the attribute and redefine the Get method of the attribute change the value and pass it into the value.

before redefining check weather the view is enhanced or not

Replace value at '/' into '-'.

if want to change in to any format by changing the value

i am not looking for any ABAP code. I wanted to see how to use WebUI efficiently and change the date formats.

I also wanted to check the config if there is any optiions available first before modifying the std codes.

in Su01 if we change it affects all tcodes .. similarly in webui, we might have some options.

I am not sure any customizing is available for the date format change. Becoz u r excepting the month needs to be text so u need to enhance and do the code changes.
