SHD0 problems with infotype menues

Former Member

Hi group,

I have created 5 infotype menues for PA30.

4 of them to be used for regular users, and one simple infotype menue for inexperienced users.

PA20 should be the same for all users.

Through SHD0 I create variants that hides the simple tab from regular users.

Another variant hides all the other 4 tabs for simple users.

So far so good.

However, thefollowing appears for the inexperienced user:

1. Logs in and opens ZPA30. This works fine, and he only sees the 1 tab with the 4 infotypes he is allowed to update.

2. Opens PA20. He sees the 4 tabs that he can view.

3. Opens ZPA30 again. Now he sees his one tab. However, the infotypes in it will be from whatever tab he had marked in PA20.

I hope you understand my problem.

Has anyone seen this and is there a solution to it?

Best regards

Kirsten

Hello Kibo:

I remember I had to do some similar stuff in PA30, but rather than SHD0 I had used UGR parameter, which (as far as I remember) is the standar way to do it. Were you aware of this or it simply it didnt fit to your requeriments?

Best regards

Hi Federico,

I am aware of the UGR possibility. Unfortunately this is not feasable for us for several reasons. That is why I have to go the SHD0 way.

Thanks anyway for responding.

I found out you cannot use SHD0 to hide tabs in one context and then have them show in another context. This is one of the limitations of SHD0 according to note 185036.
