Change key figure from Sum to avarage directly in BEX

Hi,

I have a key figure which has the aggregation option as 'sum' in the modelling screen. But I want to convert this to 'average 'directly in BEX without changing it in the modelling screen. Is it possible?

Since this key figure had to be aggregated based on Shift I had to create a counter in the cube level to solve this issue.

You can set the calculate results as property to Average in BEx.

Changing the Calculate Result As - Average does not change the value at all. The data is still the sum. Any other idea?

Im planning to use counter directly in the query to calcuate Average for the keyfigure.

But not sure if its gonna work or not. Still trying.....

Any other suggestions most welcome

Hi,

You can try exception aggregation at reporting level itself.

Just make a new formula and put you keyfigure inside it and hit aggregation tab and choose average and refercne cahracterstic as the one on which you are getting unique combination of values.
