We are going to Send our PO IDOCs to our Supplier Network. Asynchronous scenario.(R/3(IDOC) --> XI --> Supplier Network)
What adapter is suitable on the Receiver side(i.e. XI to our Supplier network). I persume the option I have is HTTP adapter, if there are other options available.
What are all the Pluses and Minuses of an HTTP Adapter.
Thanks.
Hi Rohini,
that depends on the receiving application in your Supplier Network. First you find out which kind of messages can be received then you can decide which XI adapter is possible. Plus and Minus means compare to alternatives..

Udo

Hi Rehan,
If you want to have HTTPS i.e, transport level security then SOAP adapter is the best to use it, it supports transport(https) and message (wsse) level security.

Hi Rohini,
HTTP receives the data only in XML format. And in case the output of receiver HTTP adapter is needed in plain text format, this will not be possible...In such cases tyou can use the SOAP adapter in no-SOAP mode. Then you can transform the XML to flat structure with the adapter module MessageTransformBean.
