Transformation Technical Name Change.Why and How?

Hi ,

When i Transport transformation from D To Q the Transformation technical name changes.

Some of the transformation actually transported to Q without technical name changes.

When these transformation technical name changes and why this haapens in the system?

Hi All,

Transformation tech name gets changed when you activate it manually in target system, if you can check in table 'RSTRAN' can see both names in one entry.

When ever u have different client datasource,then the technical name of the transformation changes.

If u have only BW object linked (DSO to CUbe) in this we wont see any technical name changes.

I have this case, where transformation technical names have changed in production. The strange thing is that on quality, names haven't changed..

Now I have DTPs in production (with no changes in technical names) that don't have the correct transformations associated.

How can this be solved?

HI,

Transformation Technical name should not change to system to system...DTP Technical name will change across the systems.Check once again clearly that you are reffering to correct transformations.
