Good morning I have realized in Visual Basic 6 an application with CRViewer using the license of a Crystal Reports XI. Now the server had installed Windows Server 2008 R2 with 64 bits and we are having problems with the program that uses CRViewer. We have bought the Crystal Report 2011 to use the dll that we need but not where beginning. There is no way of registering the dll or the ocx. Might I help alguíen?

Thank you.

Hello Patricia:

Since you are using VB6 and CR XI (R1 or R2(?)), you are using the Report Designer Component (RDC).

1) CR XI R2 was the last version of CR to include the RDC

2) CR2011 does not include any CR SDKs (Software Development Kits)

3) In order for your app to work on Win2008, you must use CR XI r2 (11.5.x)

Please let me know the exact version of CR you are using; Open the CR designer, go to the Help menu and click on About Crystal... Let me know the exact version specified here and I'll help you form there.

Crystal Report XI --> Version 11.0.0.12.82

Thanks

Ok. Like I mentioned in my previous post, you will not be able to use CR 2011 as this version has no SDKs.

To use the RDC on WIN2008 you will have to upgrade to CR XI R2A. See [this|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/24977] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]; blog on how to.

CR XI R1 (which is what you are on) does not support WIN2008.
