Error on Distributed System Installation

Hi,

Iam installing IDES EHP4 on windows 2008 R2 with sql 2008 on ditributed environment (domain installation).

1) on central instance host i installed the sql native access client.

2) on database instance host installed the sql database software.

3) Prerequisite in checked its successfull on central instance host.

4)on central instance host i selected the : EHP4 for ERP6.0 - SAP Application Server Abap -- MSSQL Server -- Distributed System -- Global host preparation on sap inst.

Here when creating the users phase iam getting error,here iam sending the log below ,guide me for the same.

After looking at error as below:

"The step createAccounts with step key |NW_ABAP_Prepare|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_Users_Create_Do|ind|ind|ind|ind|4|0|createAccounts was executed with status ERROR "

Can you please check the account you are using to install SAP have local admin access to the server and access to create domain account (If its domain installation)

If installation account do not have access to create account in domain then talk to your IT Support to manually create account in the domain and provide you password to use at the time of installation.

Hi,

My issue is resolved i created the users manully then its successfully completed the Global Host preparation on central instance host.

After that i successfully installed the database instance on database instance host.

Now the last step when iam installaing the central instance on central instance host iam getting the below error,guide me for the same.

sql server doesnot exist or access denied.

check thatyou specified the correct name for the database server that the server is running and you are authoried to log on to it.

Hi,

Have you tried login into SQL using SQL Server Management Studio.

Check whether the user has access to database.

In this case please double check the environment variable dbs/mss/*

Also check whether R3trans -v returns status 0.
