Hi,

If My Cube is already included in Multiprovider and queries, Will there be any impact in doing partition of this cube?

Based on the partition type.Generally it wont effect, since MP is an logical view,no data in it.Query just will read from DB level. So both MP and Query will not have effect on DB partition. But while doing partition ur query will get struck.

Thanks

Hi,

You mean to say, after partitioning , the query directly reads the corresponding partition. Hence queries are unchanged even after partition. Am I right.........?

I dont see any impact on multiproviders and queries after partitioning, but before partitioning the infocube, data has to be removed from the cube. If you dont want to disturb the existing data, we have to choose re-partitioning. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/33/dc2038aa3bcd23e10000009b38f8cf/content.htm http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/b9/60c041a2236a24e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
