I am trying to scrape the data off of an external webpage using Web Dynpro for ABAP. Basically, I want the html code of that page in a string so I can parse it later.
Does anyone know how to do this?

I have no solution for you. I think it is not possible, wonder why you want to do this in WDA.
I just figured it would be the best SAP platform to do it on. Do you know a better way in SAP to achieve this?
nope.. i have no idea which other sap software would do that.

You want to display external window or only data? If you want to display external window, you can use link to url.
